in 2008, president obama won by 6. now no one talks about george allen for president because it turns out that's what's really bad for your prospects is losing your own reelection campaign. and that brings us back to governor christie. the republican party loved governor christie. after watching him slash spending and humiliate employees on youtube, they begged him to enter the race. he gave the keynote at the republican national convention. the only problem for his rise to the presidential nomination is that he is the governor of a very blue state. much more son than virginia and his reelection in 2014 is not by any means a sure thing. as of october, his approval rating was 56%, but in a head to head matchup for the governorship, christie polls at 46% and the mayor of newark cory booker polls at 42%. if christie wants to be president of the united states, he can't pull a george allen and lose his race for reelection. he has to win a state that just voted for president obama by a 17-point margin. here is what chris chr
